Some people cannot tolerate too many green vegetables in their diet due to not being able to have too many oxalates (can form certain types of kidney stones) or vitamin K (pre-existing blood clotting concerns), for instance. Here is a list of vegetables that are not green or have less green in them. You will notice a number of items here are purple. The darker the color, the higher the antioxidant content. Antioxidants are important for preventing kidney damage.

- Ginger root
- Red/orange chili peppers
- Red/purple cabbage
- Raddichio

- Turnips
- Mushrooms
- Yellow squash
- Cucumber
- Celery
- Iceberg lettuce
- Alfalfa sprouts
- Eggplant
- Artichokes
- Purple asparagus
