The answer is yes! We are all uniquely made. There are different types of allergic responses. The one that most people are familiar with is the one an allergist would test. This is called IgE and it tests the types of allergies that would make you break out in hives, experience anaphylactic shock, as well as potentially be life threatening and require an Epipen.

There is another type called IgG. This type is a delayed onset hypersensitivity. It is not typically a life-threatening allergy, but it can aggravate and contribute to inflammation, chronic illnesses and chronic ailments, such as:

  • Migraines
  • Joint pain
  • Muscle tightness or stiffness
  • Chronic fatigue, low energy
  • Chronic pain, being prone to injury
  • Mood swings, including irritability, anxiety, depression
  • Bloating, gas, constipation, diarrhea
  • Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS)
  • Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) – Crohn’s Disease, Ulcerative Colitis
  • Brain fog
  • Gallbladder problems
  • Hormonal imbalances – such as estrogen dominance, low progesterone, high or low testosterone
  • Adrenal fatigue or low adrenal function, high or low cortisol
  • Eczema and Atopic dermatitis
  • Trouble sleeping, insomnia

Food sensitivities are a source of chronic stress to the body. Chronic stress can throw a number of bodily systems off balance. I test some of my clients for food sensitivities and when they eliminate them, it can quickly improve how they feel.
